The Reason for Your Turmoil

The Reason for Your Turmoil.

The Reason you experience turmoil, is because you do not Understand.

You do not understand the situation.

You do not understand human nature.

You do not understand your mind & your emotions.

Here's an Example:

You're stuck in traffic. You can't see exactly what's caused the traffic jam, but it's made you late for work. With each passing minute, you become increasingly agitated. You're thinking "Why the hell are we stuck in traffic?!" "I bet some idiot was texting while driving and ran into the back of someone."

The Turmoil builds.

When a police officer taps on your window and says:

"Sorry for the delay, there's been a terrible accident up ahead. The firefighters are currently using the jaws of life to try free someone. The ambulance is standing by to take them to the ER. We'll get you on your way as soon as we can."

Immediately, the turmoil disappears.

You now Understand.

You Understand the situation.

You Understand someone's life is at stake.

You Understand how your problem pales in comparison.

We experience turmoil, because we do not Understand.

Turmoil occurs,

When we do not Understand the situation.

When we do not Understand the other person.

When we do not Understand the root cause of our emotions.

When you next experience turmoil, you would be wise to pause and ask:

'What is it that I have not yet Understood?'

To Understand, is to be Immune to Turmoil.

To Your Success,

Alec.
