True Success is NOT Surprising

True success is not surprising.
Most people spend their entire lives trying many different things, working very hard, hoping something will eventually payoff.
Sometimes, things do work out, but much to their surprise.
I spent a lot of time like this too.
Working really hard.
Trying a bunch of things.
Hoping something would work.
And when it did, I was surprised, more than anything. Relieved even.

I think many people are the same, but not the truly successful.

If you were to look at Elon Musk, or Kobe Bryant, or Alex Hormozi, I don't think their success is overly surprising to them.

It's like "I worked that hard, got that good, success is not that surprising."

Seeking & applying wisdom.
Becoming masterful at what you do.
Thinking from first principles and creating something that changes the world.

True success is not surprising.

I think if we think from this place, then our approach shifts.
It's not about hoping.
It's about orchestrating the conditions for which success is not surprising at all, but in fact quite inevitable.

We know that the outcome for any given situation is not in our control.
But that doesn't mean that over time success cannot be inevitable, as many seem to believe.

I don't think it requires hope at all.
I think it's exploring the thought experiment of "what would it take, for me to not be surprised by success at all?"

Writing a life-changing book,
Creating an app that changes lives,
Solving a real problem in the world,
Success for that is not really surprising.

So true success is not surprising.
